Lately I’ve been hearing God whisper a few things over and over again. I’ve been hearing a very specific message and it’s one that I don’t want to lose in the hustle of my everyday life.
When those messages come, I like to create reminders for myself so that I can keep those words on my mind and my heart. Today I’m sharing those graphics with you in the form of free scripture prints.

Do you ever find yourself in a season where you’re waiting to arrive? It’s a funny thing. I’m a content person and I’m a contemplative person, but I’m not a terribly patient person. I can think of many areas of my life where it feels like I’ve been waiting with no obvious steps of progress.
This is where the contentment is valuable, but maybe the contemplative part of me isn’t helpful. In all of this waiting, I’m often overthinking and mentally planning the next ten steps while I’m not giving my here and now everything I’ve got. Ouch.
In this season of waiting for what’s just around the corner, what I’m hearing my Father God say comes from Luke 16:10a:
If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.”
While I’ve read those words many times before, reading Nicki Koziarz’s 5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn’t Quit showed them to me in a whole new light. Only four pages into the book, God showed me that the next season won’t arrive as long as I’m quitting (or not giving my best) to what He’s got for me in this season.
I’ve been letting myself get overwhelmed and impatient because I’ve got this huge list of great ideas and good intentions, but I’m just not in a place to make them happen yet. I know that things take time and everything has a beginning. I would happily offer advice to anyone speaking all of these words to me, but sometimes I forget that all of this applies to me too.
My Lent Study unexpectedly brought all of this to the surface for me. I would’ve never dreamed that Jesus in the wilderness and how He was tempted by the enemy would relate so much to my being anxious to do more and be more. Oh, but it did. I so needed the reminder that I can’t jump the gun on ministry or plans. I’ve got to follow the Spirit’s lead and go forward when He says it’s time.
Then I thought of a sermon from last year and I heard God again reminding me that there’s beauty in the beginning and there’s no need to rush the process. He’s at work and it will come together in His time and not necessarily mine. That message talked about Zechariah 4:10a:
Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”
That scripture has been on repeat in my mind and in my heart for the last couple of weeks and I’m ready to celebrate these small beginnings. I’m ready to celebrate what’s happening now and the process of it all. I’m ready to celebrate obedience to His calling and leave behind the pressure to be more and do more. I’m ready to refocus on what He has for me right now and my next step, even if it looks different from what’s happening for everyone around me. Maybe you’re there too.

I love spending time on Clementine Creative and love all of the gorgeous graphics Carmia shares there. I downloaded some beautiful watercolor images several months ago and have been waiting for just the right time to use them. The time has arrived! I reworked them a bit (with permission from Carmia) and used them for these scripture prints for Zechariah 4:10 and Luke 16:10.
I’ve ordered a canvas print of one and am working on a DIY project for the other and plan to hang them in my writing nook. I’d love for you to enjoy them too! They are formatted to be 8 x 10 images, but could be adjusted with some quick resizing. Feel free to print them, frame them, and place them anywhere you need to be reminded to be faithful in the small things and to celebrate your beginnings.
(As always, please remember to share this post with others who might enjoy the prints, but please do not link directly to the individual prints.)
