Make Over Your Homeschool Budget: Websites You Need to Know

I’ve shared several of my favorite homeschool budgeting tips throughout this Make Over Your Homeschool Budget Series, but this is perhaps the one that has impacted me the most.

There are countless bloggers and publishers who bless the rest of us by sharing their homeschool resources, ideas, and experiences.  Some of those resources come at a small cost and some are completely free.  Here’s a look at some websites that your homeschool budget is going to love.

Websites That Can Help You Homeschool

Pinterest

This one isn’t a big secret, but if you’re not on Pinterest, you should be!  Think of it as a gathering place for all the homeschool resources you need.  Pinterest is more than a social media platform; it’s a great way to find resources and collect ideas for your homeschool.  Many of the resources you find there are even available for free.  (I’m always pinning homeschool resources there; be sure to follow me!)

Ambleside Online

Ambleside Online is a free curriculum based on the philosophies of Charlotte Mason.  If this is your method of choice or if the Charlotte Mason method has caught your attention before, Ambleside Online could be a great match for your homeschool and your homeschool budget.

All in One Homeschool

All in One Homeschool is a labor of love from a mother homeschooling her children while living overseas as a missionary family.  It’s one of my favorite homeschool sites because I’m still blown away that the Giles family would share it so freely.

Easy Peasy All in One Homeschool is a completely free website-based homeschool curriculum and is a blessing to so many families.  If your homeschool budget needs a major overhaul, All in One Homeschool is worth a look, to say the least.

Homeschool Buyers Club

The Buyers Club is a fantastic place to get great deals on quality homeschool resources. In fact, it’s the only way out there for homeschoolers to enjoy the same type of group deals that public and private schools are able to arrange for their purchases.Make over your homeschool budget: websites you need to know

What’s more is that membership is completely FREE, there’s always a sale, you can earn credits toward future purchases, and they frequently have free seasonal programs to enjoy.

God’s Little Explorers

We’re using the paid version of God’s Little Explorers for this year’s preschool adventures and we’re loving it thus far!  The paid version is budget-friendly on it’s own, but there’s also a free version available on the Motherhood on a Dime website.

The main difference between the free version and the paid is that you’ll have to go through the website and compile each week of lessons blog post by blog post. With the paid version, all of the lessons are together in one convenient document. Either way, God’s Little Explorers is a huge blessing for families looking to homeschool in the preschool years!

Teachers Pay Teachers

This site contains thousands of educational resources written specifically for teachers by teachers.  While most items are designed to be used in public or private school environments, some are written with homeschoolers in mind.  Many of those that aren’t written with homeschoolers in mind are easily adaptable.  There’s a huge selection of free resources there, but the majority of the paid items are very inexpensive.

This is just a short list of websites that you need to know in order to make over your homeschool budget, but I’ve spent plenty of time on all of these throughout our years homeschooling.  They’ve all been instrumental in helping us homeschool when our homeschool budget was at its tightest.
