I honestly don’t mind hunting and gathering resources for homeschool art appreciation. In fact, I enjoy researching and planning our artist and picture studies.

I like planning our art appreciation lessons, but I also acknowledge that there are times when life gets busy and that hunting and gathering is easier said than done. Those are the times when my good intentions don’t take us too far and we end up putting art appreciation on the back burner altogether.

The good news is that it doesn’t have to be that way anymore. You don’t have to ignore art appreciation or save it for a rainy day. I’ve found an open-and-go art appreciation curriculum that allows your students to study the master artists and gain an understanding and appreciation for their works of art.

You don’t have to spend too much time here to know that my kiddos and I love the e-Courses from Masterpiece Society. We love the seasonal mixed media workshops like Celebrate Summer, but we’ve also enjoyed every moment we’ve spent working through Mixing with the Masters.

Those workshops are great, especially for my kids because they love opportunities to break out their art supplies. Even so, there are times when we need to focus on art appreciation and not specifically the process of creating.

That’s when I usually round up books, articles, videos, and whatever I can find to help us learn about specific artists and their lives. As I stated above, I enjoy the process, but I don’t always have the extra time needed to pull all of this together.

Can I tell you what a relief it is to know I don’t have to put this together on my own now? Now I can turn to Masterpiece Society Art Appreciation.
