This month is halfway over and I’m just now getting around to sharing my April Reading List. Where has the time gone? Well, I can account for most of it. Between homeschool, packing up our house, our church’s children’s ministry and music ministry, and life in general, I haven’t been able to focus too much on my reading list.
Nonetheless, here’s what’s on my shelf for this month:

I was able to finish a couple of great books last month. I finished Margaret Feinberg’s Fight Back With Joy just in time for the upcoming Women of Joy Conference I’m attending in next month.
I also closed my Say Goodbye to Survival Mode book… for now.
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
In all honesty, I didn’t finish this book. I finished about two chapters and realized I can’t implement any of the suggestions at this point. (Pretty ridiculous, I know!) I will absolutely pick this back up and finish at some point because I totally agree with Paine’s thoughts about the busyness of life.
Enough about me though…. Feeling like you’re constantly running on empty? This book is for you. Grab it, read it, and implement it. Take your life back!
A few books on the list for this month are leftovers from last month.
- Hungry for God is a daily devotional book, so it’s the kind of book you work through a little at a time.
- We’re reading The Secret Garden as a read aloud in our homeschool. When we’ve got a full schedule, and we do right now!, read alouds tend to move at a slower pace.
- I’ve started Roanoke and have enjoyed it thus far… I love historical fiction!
- Chasing the Butterfly has me totally captivated right now. I’m loving this story so much more than I expected.
What are you reading right now? I’m always up for suggestions.
